Showcasing Our favorite Art at Windmill Market |
Helping finalize Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects’ green vision, Artcraft Awning was contacted based on a referral to help convert a pre-existing building into
Fairhope’s Windmill Market.
The market features 65 open-air spaces that change each weekend offering
produce, arts and crafts and the awnings were an essential part in completing the entirely sustainable location.
By extending the market’s roof, the awnings provide shade and weather protection for perimeter vendors. In addition to providing a practical use for the market, the awnings have also proved important in completing the market’s “green” aesthetic appeal.
“The awnings were such an important part of the
transition of the old run-down building into the market we have today,” said Mac Walcott,
Windmill Market’s architect.
Providing shade, weather protection, and visual appeal, our awnings have helped Windmill Market transition a pre-existing building into its current uniquely green, sustainable location.

TConverting two pre-existing buildings into Tropical Smoothie Café locations, Nazmi Ozekur contacted Artcraft Awning to help put the finishing touches on his new storefronts.
Ozekur came to us with two goals:
(
1) to make his storefronts more attractive
(2) while complying with franchise standards.
Referred by a previous
customer, Ozekur knew that Artcraft Awning would put the finishing touches on his new storefronts.
Slightly limited by franchise standards, we helped Ozekur select the most appealing traditional style fabric awning for each space, and by making the
simple change, Ozekur has been able to
dramatically alter the entire look of both storefronts.
The simple black fabric awnings with a yellow pinstripe gave each location an easy face lift, and Ozekur has been extremely satisfied with how much the awnings change the entire look of each location.“They were selected because of franchise colors and to make the buildings more attractive,” said Ozekur. Helping customers identify the new locations, this face lift has proved extremely important at both locations. At the Legacy Village Shopping Center location, a Starbuck’s was located in the space, and the new awnings have helped patrons recognize the presence of the new Tropical Smoothie Café.
